Sažetak
Attainment of a good oral health among adolescents is based upon the awareness of appropriate dietary habits and oral hygiene practices. The aim of this investigation was to evaluate the level of oral health awareness in urban Croatian and Italian adolescents. The sample was evaluated on the basis of a standardized questionnaire developed by WHO, for oral health awareness in children. Final results revealed the similar level of awareness and the practical application of the knowledge about dental health in both groups. It could be concluded that individual view of adolescents on their own oral health status, dental care, oral health practices and dietary habits is influenced by the similar effect of urbanization at a global level.
