Sažetak
Through history of race research social science results influenced biological findings and vice versa. Since Franz Boas social sciences questioned the biological concept of race. After the Human Genome Project produced scientific evidence to discredit the biological legitimacy of 'race', the majority of social scientist concluded that race is a social construct. But the biological concept of race is persistent and there are number of researches, particularly those sponsored by the pharmacological industry, that are criticized because it seems they imply races are genetically discrete groups. Case of BiDil the first race-based prescription drug is therefore discussed.
