Sažetak
The paper considers railway passenger transport through quantitative and qualitative segments within the European railway network as a whole. The statistical and analytical indicators and their monitoring over the fifteen years of the development and existence of high velocity trains in Europe draw attention to the fact that they carry only 5% of the overall passanger traffic volume of all railways. Due to the high cost of construction of high velocity railway tracks, the high price of high velocity trains explortation, and due to the explortation and traffic and technical parameters of the same trains, the advantages of tilt-case trains are considered.
