Sažetak
Geosteering includes trajectory changes in directional and horizontal drilling where decisions are made in real-time related to data acquired by logging while drilling measurements. Steering is possible by placing resistivity, gamma-ray, density and porosity sensors above the motor or integrating sensors in rotary steerable system. Procedures of geosteering provide precise wellbore positioning and production of oil and gas from thin reservoirs, drilling multi-lateral wells and extended-reach wells at lower cost. Currently used geosteering systems and their application during off-shore horizontal well drilling in Croatia will be presented in the paper.
