Sažetak
In the paper results of calculation of increased voltages in the generator main electrical circuit, occurring due to various disturbances are presented. Load rejection and the combined disturbance starting with a single-phase short circuit are analysed. Influence of saturation rate of the step-up transformer on voltage conditions at the synchronous generator after the load rejection is studied. Results of calculation of overvoltages originating from switching activities in the high-voltage circuit as well as from lightning strokes at the high-voltage transmission lines in front of the substation, and transferred into the generator main circuit, are also presented. Based on the results, potential generator hazards due to the voltage increase are estimated and necessity for installing protection devices is commented. The calculations have been carried out by computer programs EMTP-ATP and MicroTran.
