Sažetak
The paper describes a sudden short-circuit of a synchronous generator as the basic test for determination of main machine parameters. Some of the parameters are the direct-axis transient x_d' and the subtransient reactances x_d", the quadrature-axis subtransient reactance x_q" and time constants t_d', t_d" and ta. For that purpose the measuring of currents at a three-phase sudden short-circuit test with double grounding on an industrial gas turbogenerator with rated power 4000 kVA has been carried out. The sudden short-circuit has been applied in the following versions: with double grounding (at the neutral-point and at the location of the short-circuit) and without grounding only at a laboratory test on the generator rated power 170 kVA. The purpose of the paper is to show the influence at currents' third harmonic on the results of machine parameters determination.
