Sažetak
Today it is very difficult to design an object which will satisfy the newly generated habits and the users' individual needs especially in innovative shape or construction of a product, without using new and innovative materials. That’ s why the new materials and technologies are being researched. One of the world's largest new fields of research has cross- disciplinarily linked the wood and plastic industry. Wood plastic composites (WPCs) are defined as composite materials that contain wood (in various forms) and thermoplastic material. As their application and design opportunities are still in develop, they offer different and new solutions in many fields of contemporary usage. The work refers to new findings regarding the performances and possibility of design and application of WPCs in wood product industry.
