Sažetak
The realization of the business idea with extremely ambitiously set of strategic goals, in complex market conditions in young country when there is a war with extremely high level of uncertainty, may seemed as utopia. However, business indicators show that taken entrepreneurial risk was justified and that analyzed company is near to its originally set main business goal which was: gathering the leading position in the industry in South-Eastern Europe. Moreover, in some engineering activities, analyzed company is the leader in Europe. The aim of this paper is to identify and describe critical factors which influenced the growth of the company in the 15 year period, from its start till nowadays. On the basis of findings the model of growth in engineering service industry will be suggested. Also, the suggested model could be useful for companies which perform highly-professional services in transitional economies. In order to achieve the research goal, two main research questions are to be answered: (Q1) What was the dynamic of growth of the analyzed company? (Q2) Which breaking points were the most important and what caused them? For the purpose of the paper detailed analysis it to be performed. Firstly, longitudinal analysis of main business indicators (such as: revenue, profit, number of employees) will be given. Then, the mission statements analysis for the given period will be performed. Thirdly, the different accounting information will be processed in order to seize the dynamics of infrastructural investments. Also, the dynamics and the structure of the workforce within the company will be investigated. Moreover, the interview with the founder, owner and CEO will be conducted in order to get the cleared picture on some aspects of the growth.
