Sažetak
A constatnt growth of a human population needs to be followed by increasing of food production. However, climate changes observed during last decades affected decrease of yield in major field crops, such a maize. Different type of researchers which explore links between climate change and agricultural adoption and mitigation options are urgently needed. In this research, we studied how environmental changes in the region affected the maize grain yield during decade period (1996-2007). Weathwer data were colected from eight locations (Niš and Novi Sad in Serbia ; Osijek and Zagreb in Croatia ; Bekeschaba and Sekesfehervar in Hungary). Different statistical methods (ANOVA, correlations, stepwise regression analysis and pairwise association) for estimation of relationships between variables (precipitation and air-temperature) and maize grain yield were used. Obtained results at local level were compared with other similar investigations on the world.
