Sažetak
The article presents the production of diesel engines in Croatia, which is a remarkable production sector lasting more than 60 years since 1947. Large two-stroke marine engines for ship propulsion are produced under licences in three shipyards. Four stroke diesel engines used as prime movers or marine auxiliary engines are produced in two companies. All together there are produced 799 large two-stroke engines and 2178 four-stroke engines each with unit power more than 700 kW, totaling in 8664 MW of produced engines.
