Sažetak
An objective of this work is to research and propose all techniques needed to convertan old information system database structure used in marine shipbuilding to relational and to object-oriented database. In this presentation of researching preserved the main goal is to propose all possible solutions of the informationaland knowledge reengineering aspects that focus on these relatively new ideas in marine shipbuilding . Goal of research is to explain a reengineering methodology for production the Management Information Systems (MIS) and the Executive Information Systems (EIS) in marine shipbuilding. Goal of research was to propose leading trends of the knowledge reengineering methodology involvedin producing so-called "knowledge-based system" (or expert database system).Important is to use the appropriate knowledge reengineering techniquesin dealing with the old information system databases.structures. The obtained results can be used in the process of development a new relational and object-oriented databases applications in marine shipbuilding. Paper gives a shot history of the terms used in this research. Benefit is also inspected from involving the best solutions of information science with marine shipbuilding. This paper also proposes and promotes few original ideas of applicability of so-called the knowledge reengineering techniques in marine shipbuilding.
