Sažetak
Within the network area, including multimedia, mobile technology and considerably sophisticated software support highly-developed industrial countries as well as shipping companies have found a new way of information transmission, a significantly facilitated access to information and, finally, a substantial cost reduction. The image transmission involves too much information for the real time vision processing, hence a compression of the image becomes an imperative, i.e. the application of multimedia and compression standards, computer networks, multimedia transport and some specific aspects employed by the industry of today.
