Sažetak
The authors of this paper deal with subjects of (in) equality of men and women, presenting the results of theoretical analysis of men and women’ s roles and their real status in society of today. It is a fact that, even today, because of their gender, women all over the world are limited in their human rights, even in one of the most important and basic rights - the right of living. In spite of significant improvements on field of human rights of women in last 30 years, strengthening of ultraconservative thought and fundamentalism in many societies led to great regress in realization of human rights of women. It is important to mention that education, besides many other factors, has a dominant role in determining and defining equality of genders, in both formal and informal way, because it represents the most important channel of social promotion of an individual. Of course, the creation of equal opportunities begins with raising and education. It is important to point out the importance of continuance and lifelong representation of these processes. Change of status and role of women in today’ s society is one of social phenomena which significantly influences to development and intensity of adults’ education.
