Sažetak
Developmental odontogenic cysts are the jaw cysts which are directly or indirectly associated to the tooth origin. They evolve from odontogenic epthelium at any phase of impacted tooth. Developmental odontogenic cysts can be devided in several groups: gingival child cysts (Epstein pearls) ; odontogenic keratocysts ; follicular cysts ; erupted cysts ; lateral periodontal cysts ; gingival adult cysts and the glandular odontogenic cysts. During the establishment of diagnosis in most cases clinical and radiographic finding is enough. Final diagnosis is set after the biopsy. After the differential diagnosis it can be suspected as ameloblastoma. Cysts are most frequently treated surgically and the possibilities od treatment depends on the cysts characteristics.
