Sažetak
Over the next few decades, Slovenian population will, similarly to the population of the EU, significantly change in both size and age structure. Population ageing will cease to be only a fiscal sustainability question ; it will also become a serious growth challenge to which Slovenian government will need to respond by developing and implementing strategies to keep older workers in the labour force. In our paper we strive to identify employer attitudes, policies and initiatives, which both encourage employers to retain older workers and help older workers to stay active. Theoretical and practical implications of our empirical findings are presented and discussed along with possible reform solutions.
