Sažetak
In order to determine radio-signal coverage, field strength calculation is usually made by statistical method. In some special cases it is necessary to apply deterministic method, in fact mathematical algorithms for field strength calculation, predominantly based on diffraction of electromagnetic waves. When the entire process is made by digitising of the map, including application of a computer, there is a huge number of geographical obstacles on the radio-path without significant influence on propagation, but strongly slowing or totally blocking the calculation. So, it is necessary to define the algorithm for determination of significant number of the obstacles for every single point on the profile under process of calculation radio-signal intensity.
