Sažetak
For estimating residual stresses in welding process a shell-to-solid submodeling technique was applied. Taking as an example welding of two thin-wall plates, submodel size was set where nodal temperatures and displacements of submodel driven nodes are correctly interpolated from results of global model. Applied approach will provide a more efficient numerical analysis of welding process in more complex structures.
