Sažetak
In this paper, fuzzy logic control is applied in an active magnetic bearing model for the purpose of continuous position observation and tuning of gains in a fuzzy PID controller. The response of the rotor supported on active magnetic bearings (AMBs) was obtained from closed-loop AMB model simulation in MATLAB/ Simulink. Furthermore, comparisons of the mentioned controller with the conventional PID controller showed that the fuzzy logic approach ensures better rotor response when subjected to unbalance forces.
