Sažetak
This paper deals with the changes that took place in the organisation of milk production in the Republic of Croatia. The purpose of these changes was to solve the constant shortage of this important product. The unfavourable conditions were reflected in big number of producers with small number of heads of cattle, as well as in law production. All that led to law labour productivity and bad business results, which was reflected in importing rather big amounts of uncooked milk. Some measures taken to solve this problem resulted in growing family farms with important production objects. It was noticed that there was a constant growth in production with achieving high quality of the produced milk responding to all standards and regulations of the EU countries.
