Sažetak
The World Youth Student and Educational Travel Confederation (WYSETC) is international non-profit organisation created to represent student and youth travel community. Main task of the WYSETC is to increase international understanding through promotion of travel and educational opportunities for students and youth. The WYSETC is brand new organisation. It was founded in 2006 by merging two leading international organisations created for young people, the Federation of International Youth Travel Organisations (FIYTO) and the International Student Travel Confederation (ISTC). The ISTC was created to help students, young people (under 26) and teachers in providing flexible travel arrangements and travel advices (about visa, tourism accommodation, especially hostels, than about travel costs, insurance and medical help on travel, discounts on some services in tourism destinations etc.). The main task of the ISTC was to increase international understanding through the promotion of travel and exchange journey experiences among students and young people. In this moment the WYSETC has more than five hundred and fifty members, representing students, youth and international educational specialists with a network of five thousands locations in 118 countries. The Confederation members provide international travel and educational experiences for more than 10 million youth and students each year. The members of the WYSETC work through specialist sector associations to provide a range of valuable services and products for young travellers worldwide and to provide them with research and market intelligence, and product development support. The Confederation's website is in the focus of our interest due the fact that youth travel has been officially recognised as one of the fastest growing segments of tourism market by the world's leading tourism organisation United Nations Tourism Organisation (UNWTO). The youth travel accounts for some twenty percent if international arrivals worldwide (about 160 million arrivals in 2006) and offers huge growth potential. It is expected to rise to around 300 million by 2020, according UNWTO.
