Sažetak
EDITORIAL Acta Stomatologica Croatica (ASCRO) has been published four times in 2007, namely in March (first issue), in June (second issue), in September (third issue) and December (fourth issue). So the 41st volume has had all the four issues in printed as well as in electronic version. ASCRO has been printed in 1200 copies as earlier and it has been distributed by mail to all dentists, members of the Croatian Dental Society of the Croatian Medical Association, to other subscribers as well as to the publishers who send their magazines to ASCRO. In the last, 41st, volume there was a total of 38 published papers: 23 papers written by Croatian authors and 15 papers written by authors from abroad. 60% were scientific papers, 10% were reviews and 30% case studies. All the papers have been accepted electronically and distributed further for peer review. In 41st volume the ratio between the foreign and national consulting reviewers has been 33% to 67%. The Editorial Board and I personally are trying to increase the number of the foreign reviewers in 2008 to 50%. The percentage of the refused and withdrawn papers has amounted to 35%. The total number of readers who visited the online ASCRO magazine in 2007 totals to 22.300 readers, which makes an average of 61 reader per day. The printing cost, proof-reading of the English and Croatian language, distribution as well as electronic setup, were fully financed by the Ministry of Science, Education and Sport of the Republic of Croatia, by subscription fees, by the Croatian Dental Society of the Croatian Medical Association and Colgate.
