Sažetak
Autoimmune skin diseases are a group of different diseases that can be divided into two main groups: autoimmune blistering diseases and autoimmune connective tissue diseases. All diseases from these two groups can manifest on the face and, as the face is body region that is first seen, it is very important to recognize them early, since early therapy is of paramount importance in these diseases. From the group of autoimmune blistering diseases, manifestation on the face is mostly associated with pemphigus vulgaris, pemphigus foliaceus, pemphigus paraneoplasticus, pemphigus erythematosus, cicatricial pemphigoid and linear IgA dermatosis, however, other diseases may also, less commonly though, be located on the face. From the group of autoimmune connective tissue diseases, manifestations on the face are most frequently seen seen in discoid, subacute and systemic lupus erythematosus. Very impressive clinical finding on the face can also be seen in dermatomyositis. In conclusion, it is important to point out that in patients with skin changes on the face the potential autoimmune skin disorder should be taken in consideration.
