Sažetak
Model of “ new school” emphasizes the acquisition of key competencies, which are necessary for successful participation in the knowledge-based society and economy based on modern (global market) production, as the educational outcomes. It prepares students for life, stimulates their curiosity, develops their creativity and prepares them for the competitive labour market. The work contains a review of characteristics of the “ new school and teachers for the “ new school” , as well as the importance of the contemporary media in the process of communication and education.
