Sažetak
Industrial communication networks are primarily used for distributed control in manufacturing systems. The same hardware and software equipment enables also its application in distributed measurement systems with adequately high sampling rate for non-electric quantity measurement. The PROFIBUS-DP protocol as the European industrial communication standard, open and robust system, points out for a wider field of application. This paper describes distributed control system application possibilities for the real time measurement system. The measurement system is envisaged for bridges and open structure strain and vibration measurement.
