Sažetak
Based on finite volume method for calculation of transient temperature fields, and on characteristic cooling time for structure transformation, and algorithm and computer programm for prediction of hardness distribution in queched steel specimens with complex geometries have been developed. The algorithm and computer programm are completed to solve 2-D situation problems such as the queching of complex cylinders, cones, spheres, etc. Actual heat transfer coefficient values involved in mathematical model have been obtained using the LISCIC/NANMAC probe.
The mathematical model has been experimentally tested. The test showed that the hardness distribution in as-quenched steel specimens with complex shape and with deep axial holes, can be successfully estimated by using the values of heat transfer coefficients that have been evaluated by using the LISCIC/NANMAC probe.
