Sažetak
The paper focuses on the research of “ L” shaped steel console frame through theoretical and experimental segment. Load on the console was applied on its free end. Static testing of the console was performed in two stages with loads of 100kN and 150kN. Stress-strain analysis has been conducted in the node of console frame as well as the displacements in the characteristic points of the model. Displacements under static load were measured using LVDT (Linear Variable Differential Transformator) probes and relative deformations using strain gauges HBM. Theoretical analysis of the model was preformed using the finite element method in a computer program SAP2000. Experimental model was tested using a material testing machine Zwick Z600E in the department for engineering mechanics at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Zagreb. Comparison of the results between theoretical and experimental segment was given after conducted testing.
