Sažetak
Samples of costal and lumbal part of the diaphragm
from 10 cross-bred horses of domestic pack race were
cut into 10 mikrometer thick slices, stained with
chemalaun and eosin and used to measure the muscle
fiber diameter with the help of our own computer
program. Distribution frequency of the diameter
of muscle fibers with the step of 3 mikrometer
made possible their classification into morphofunctional
units (MFU) connected with respiratory and non-respiratory
diaphragm activity.
