Sažetak
The road regulations and traffic signs, as we know them today, are not older than a hundred years. When the first motor vehicles appeared on the roads, passing the state borders ever more frequently and easily, and that was at the beginning of the 20th century the need arouse to determine international regulations that would harmonise the information on all the roads.
This paper presents the historical development of the traffic signs.
