Sažetak
A lot of scientific papers which appeared in the last ten years, describe the synthesis and antiviral activity against HIV and HIV-opportunistic deseases of the bis-amidinosubstituted heteroczclic compounds. This data prompted us to synthesize 3,7-dichloro-2,6-di-(4,4'-butylamidino)benzo(2,1-b : 4,5-b')dithiophene dihydrochloride as potential anti-HIV agent. It could serve as intercalator, which could bind on the DNA of the HIV-virus.The compound in title was synthesized in multistep synthesis starting from corresponding chloride over n-butyldiamide and diimidochloride.
