Sažetak
The trial was set up in the summer of 1994, after the oil rape harvest, on arable areas of the "Poljodar" agricultural plant from Daruvar, middle Croatia. The plot was selected according to the propositions applicable to the plot network on which USLE was created, viz. slope 9%, length 22.1 m, and width 1.87 m. Plots are surrounded with sheet-metal fence, which is removed before each tillage practice, and then put up again after the practice is completed. Equipment designed by Prof.dr.sc. Othmar Nestroy of the University of Graz is installed in the lower part of each plot. We got the equipment by courtesy of Prof. Nestroy as a gift from the Austrian government. The equipment enables separation and filtration of soil suspension, the purified water is collected into a tank while the solid drift remains on the cloth used as filter. The trial plot soil type is planosol (pseudogley) of sloping terrains, which is very prone to water erosion due to its physical and chemical properties. The primary goal of the investigations is to determine the characteristics of erosion on planosol, and then to seek for the answer to the question whether it is possible, and to which extent, to reduce erosion to a tolerant level by applying different methods of soil tillage in the production of agricultural crops. Based on the results obtained, the optimal tillage has to be determined for planosol. The station consists next plots: ü Standard plot, according to USLE, black fallow, ploughed up/down the slope; ý Conventional ploughing up/down the slope; ţ No-tillage, sowing into dead mulch, weed control by total herbicides; @ Conventional ploughing across the slope; A Very deep ploughing across the slope (to 50 cm); B Subsoiling to the depth of 60 cm + conventional ploughing across the slope.
