Sažetak
In the frame of the regular curriculum of the subject Extracurricular and out-of-school sports activities, we have conducted an analysis of the actual state in the primary schools of the County. This study has provided the cooperation with primary schools and third- year university students. According to the legislative regulations and results of international studies, a proposal of guidelines has been made with the aim to improve the position and role of extracurricular sports activities. We have suggested an interdisciplinary maxim which can have a positive influence on pupils’ health as well as on the prevention of the most frequent health problems which have been discovered by regular medical checkups. Finally, we give suggestions for the persons responsible with the aim to implement quality conditions for providing extracurricular sports activities programs for pupils from the first to the fourth grade of primary education. It is important to stress that university students’ opinions have been frequently quoted regarding teachers’ rules, mission and the current situation in County schools which provide students’ training.
