Sažetak
Carbothermal reduction and consequent nitridation of silica belongs to the most important powder silicon nitride preparation routes because the relatively inexpensive raw materials and a simple preparation procedure can yield powder of acceptable properties to the manufacturers of most ceramic parts on the silicon nitride basis. reaction temperature is one of most important preparation parameters which is influenced by many factors. In this article there are given optimal temperature intervals for silicon nitride powder preparation by carbothermic reduction and nitridation of silica, at atmospheric pressure, for one set of experimental conditions.
