Sažetak
Complex requirements for quality and competition within the market place are forcing manufacturers to improve existing aluminum alloys and develop new ones. Such streaming has been recently expressed in the airplane industry, where traditional aluminum alloys based on Cu (2000) and Zn (7000) are trying to be replaced with alloys based on Li (8000). Since Li based aluminum alloys are relatively new, their manufacturing by rolling or extrusion are connected by many specific features. This is especially related to the establishment of technological process parameters in order to achieve the optimal properties of the products. This paper shows the results of an investigation both of mechanical properties and corrosion stability of the cold rolled sheets of AlLiCuMg aluminum alloy at different tempers. In F temper the influence of cold deformation was investigated, whilst annealed, soft temper O was investigated for the influence of natural aging. In T6 temper, the influence of cold deformation, solution annealing and natural aging were investigated respectively. Results obtained from these investigations could be useful for industrial praxis.
