Sažetak
Guberina's Verbotonal method is hased on the verbotonal theory which is, in the first place, linguistic, then indirectly multidisciplinary. Today it is predominantly oriented toward neuroscience, but does not avoid philosophical questions, because as Petar Guberina says: "On fait toujours de la philosophie quand on parle du langage". The conception of the reciprocity of the world and langugage reaches deeply into history and without this correlation there would be no langugage nor world, regardless of the appearance of man because a man has fallen into existence of a langugage. According to Spinoza, the world and events in this world are res extensa, and the langugage is res cogitans following the famous idea "Ordo et connexio idearum idem est ac ordo et connexio rerum" they are necessarily spatial. In other words, the langugage is the isomorph of an event, and an event is the isomorph of the langugage. From its beginnings the verbotonal theory has been examining what is between the world and langugage, and this is what makes it exceptional. This "Between" makes Guberina's linguistics of speech of correspondent langugages (form, movement, rhythm,contact, sounds of inanimate objects, animal voices, human sounds, music, sounds of speech, procodic values, (rhythm, tone, intonation, intensity, tension, pause, sentence, tempo), colours, gaze, mimic, gesture, body posture, movement, position in space, topography, mise-en-scene, situation, context) and spatioception - system for space perception (touch, proprioception, vestibular senses, hearing and sight). Between the spatial world and the event on the one hand, and the spatial mind and the langugage on the other, the only possible system is spatioception, because this is the primary function of all five organs. What is true of ascending sensory hearing pathway, is also true of descending motoric speech pathway. In this way the sensorimotor and holistic spirals are formed. Having been confirmed by research and practice, the principles of the Verbotonal method have been continuously contributing to the diagnostics and rehabilitation of many disciplines, so that the verbotonal theory with its wide application can be considered Guberina's general theory of communication.
