Sažetak
Sexually transmitted diseases are, in adults, among the most common infectious diseases. Today, STDs remain important and can be transmitted by heterosexual or homosexual contacts. Risk groups for bacterial STD are among others persons in mobility as are traveler, tourists, seamen, airline personal. Their rate of infection depends on the number of sexual contacts, indiscrimination in the choice of partners and no use of prophylactic measures. Particular attention is to pay to prostitution, promiscuity in young people and alcohol drinking habits. Epidemiological data about the frequency of STD among traveler are scanty. Treatment of these patients requires special attention. For this reason we performed a study on the frequency of STDs in person on the move and travelers. STDs are frequently observed in travelers in our region. Therefore, the diagnosis and treatment of these patients require special attention.
