Sažetak
The etiology of juvenile delinquency is a complex issue and subject of numerous researches, too. On the basis of the conducted researches it is determined that the father’ s alcoholism in a family and the family migration are preconditions for disrupted partners’ relationships and difficulties in the family’ s socialization in a new environment. Dysfunctional family relations decrease the influence of parental supervision and children’ s discipline. Children’ s asocial behavior which is developed according to the pattern of the compulsion theory can be influenced by the siblings’ behavior, and later on by peers (non family members) with similar social status – deviant training behavior. The predisposition for asocial behavior in the family, and subsequent delinquent behavior outside the family, caused by migration, alcoholism and deviant training, can result in criminal careers of juvenile delinquents and progressive increase of recorded criminal acts, i.e. multiple relapse. The predisposition to develop criminal and delinquent behavior of juveniles is shown in the paper – family migration, alcoholism and interpretation of delinquent behavior through the coercion theory i.e. deviant training of the children’ s socialization in one family from the area of the Republic of Croatia and the development and culmination of their criminal careers during a 10-year-period.
