Sažetak
Over the last decade new findings especially MR neuroimaging are improving our understanding of various clinical syndromes. However, sometimes the results of diagnostic procedures are unexpected. Our aim was to report five patients with different neurologic symptoms and deficits and lipoma cerebri discovered by CT and MRI of the brain. Average age of patients is 42. There are four female and one male. Two of them have onset generalised tonic-clonic epileptic seizures and the youngest patient has rare epileptic attacks generalised type, too. All of them are well controlled with antiepileptic monotherapy. One female patient has severe and often migrainous headache over ten years. The left side extrapiramidal syndrome, with rigor as dominant symptom are characteristic of neurologic status in one female patient. EEG of patients with epileptic seizures was diffusely symmetrically changed with multiple spikes over centrotemporal areas. The mostly localisation of lipoma is in interhemispheral fissure. The lipomas show a characteristic appearance of fat density. I n our patients there were no any signs of high intracranial praesure. About 40% of intracranial lipomas occur in association with dysgenesis of the corpus callosum. These abnormalities are not necessarily associated with clinical disability. We would like to drive attention to possibility of a high risk of depressive mood disorder in patients in whom are discovered any intracranial tumour (in one cases lipoma cerebri) mass even it has not been any consequens at clinical simptomatology
