Sažetak
Although of very small cross-section the fast neutron capture reaction for the lightest nuclei (protons and deutrons) appears to be a very powerful method to investigate details of the interactions and states involved. It is shown that with available techniques measurement of energy spectra of resulting nuclei can yield c.m.differential cross-section if mono energetic neutrons are used. Neutron beams of broad energy spectrum can be applied to measure total cross sections in a wide range simultaneously. Effects of nucleon polarization could be investigated with beams of mono-energetic polarized neutrons.
