Sažetak
Arguments for spent fuel dry storage at power station site for small or medium nuclear system in direct fuel cycle are presented. A hypothetical cask and dry storage concepts are defined for NPP Krsko needs. Our calculation using functional module SAS2 of SCALE modular code, of isotope inventory of spent fuel showed the possibility of onsite dry storage for the NPP Krško for the whole working life. The total dose rates on site boundary are within requirements defined in 10 CFR 72.
