Sažetak
Fusion part of muon catalytic fusion-fission hybrid and accelerator part of linear accelerator breeder essentially serve as neutron source for irradiation of fertile blankets. This warrants that comparison be made on the relative efficiency of two methods of neutron production.We show that, at present, conclusions are not favourable to muonic hybrid, respectively , the efficiencies of two approaches to neutron production happen to be so close that technical and engineering issues of real system become decisive.
