Sažetak
Ecodesign makes it possible to integrate the aspect Environment in an early design stage, besides issues as quality, safety and cost. Life Cycle Assessment or LCA is used as a tool to identify the weak points in a product design. These weak points show us where changes in product design will lead to improvements of the products environmental profile. With the co-operation of the product manufacturer, a selection is made of the different options for improvement. Based on this selection a changed concept of the product will be elaborated which can be screened by means of a LCA to be sure the total environmental profile has been improved.
