Sažetak
Through analysis and synthesis of concepts in complex systems literature on physics, biology, economy and other areas where complex system theory has broadened insight of processes in large natural systems, common open issues have been identified for application of theory to the real world critical infrastructure systems. The paper compares methods for describing real and interdependent infrastructure systems on an equal basis. The final selection are multiagent systems as the optimal method to develop a prototype model of critical infrastructure. In succession, a choice of widely used software tools is shown in the area of critical infrastructure modeling. Features of the tool selected based on flexibility and efficiency – Netlogo – have been described. Using experiences from other countries a framework has been developed to model critical infrastructure which enables including parameters of interdependency in the simulation, as well as an assessment of economical consequences of certain disturbances.
