Sažetak
To investigate what part basic and specific motor abilities of the human organism take in the process of life - saving operarations at sea a sample of 129 male persons aged between 21 and 22 have been subjected to examination. The evaluation of basic motor abilities has been carried out with a set of 14 test, and that of specific motor abilities with a set of ten tests. The evaluation of the variable concerning life - saving at sea has been ashieved by means of a number of predictable rescue operations. With the subject matter and task of this research in mind the results obtained have been processed by applying the multiple regression analysis - STAT - PACK statistical progremme, MULTREG program. The results arrived at show that there is a considerable degree of correlation between basic and specific motor abilities of the organism on the one side, and life - saving on the other. Relying upon the character of basic and specific motor abilities fairly dependable predictions of life - saving circumstances at sea are made possible, corroborating the fact that and organism with more appropriate basic and specific motor abilities stands a batter chance of being saved and survive. The characteristic traits thus arrived at are to be ascribed to the functional mechanism controling and structuring movements, as well as to the congruence of biomechanical structures of specific motor novements with some rescue operations at sea.
