Sažetak
The research was carried aut on the group of 129 males, 21 yeares of age. The sample of variables is defined by the battery tests of primary pathological conative factors and battery tests of rescue elements. For evaluation of primary pathological conative factors the battery of tests of verbal stimulus (Cornell Index No.4) has been applied, which are defined by area of anxiety, phobia, hipersensitivity, depression, obsessive and compulsory, impulsive, aggressive and paranoid tendences, as well as cardiovascular, inhibitory, and gastrointestinal converses. For evaluation of rescue at sea elements the set of 7 variables, derivered from some anticipated rescue elements were used, counting from the time of emergency call, preparation and abandoning of the ship until survival. Measurements of rescue variables was done on the vessels “ Tuhobić” and “ Jadran Express” , owned by Jugolinija - Rijeka. Data processing was made using the method Cooley & Lohnes, 1971 to determine relation between primary and pathological conative dimensions, and elements of rescue. The obtained results show that the canonic correlation coefficient, transformation coefficient vectors and correlation between variables and canonic dimensions isolated from both sets, could be explained by one characteristic root, which absorbs 57 % of total varijance with the correlation cofficient of 0.76 within tested area. Thuse, primary patological conative dimensions present an important factor for carring out rescue procedures. Fundamental mechanisms, responsible for obtained relations are determined by inhibitors and excitation mechanisms in certain zones located in the cortico - hypotalamic reactivity system, responsible for mobilization of energy.
