Sažetak
The neurotoxin n-hexane produces peripheral axonal abnormalities, those involving distal sensory and motor nerves. The neurotoxicity has been associated with 2.5-hexane-dione (2.5-HD), a metabolite formed by the biotransformation of n-hexane and methyl n-butyl ketone. We present a 46-year-old woman with progressive numbness in distal parts of the lower extremities and in the fingers. she has been working in the shoe industry for ten years now.
