Sažetak
The market development of tourist destination is evolving in an increasingly complex and competitive environment, which makes it difficult to monitor and forecast the market and demand. Destinations seeking to gain advantages over rivals on the world market will need to ensure the application of well-designed methods in assessing the actual situation of the destination as a business system, generating future development scenarios and selecting the optimum scenario of tourism development. This paper focuses on analysing the destination as a business system and proposes a model for optimising tourism development in the destination, which involves various development scenarios. The paper also proposes the construction of a well-devised system of quantitative and qualitative indicators of the destination’ s level of tourism development to ensure that the scenario evolves according to IQM (Integrated Quality Management).
