Sažetak
Primary Electromagnetic Laboratory (PEL) acts within the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (FER). After the ten years of operation in the role of nationally authorized calibration laboratory, PEL is accredited by the accreditation body of German association Deutscher Kalibrierdienst (DKD) since December 22, 2005. By the Contract with the State Office for Metrology (DZM), signed on May 24, 2006, following the decree of acceptance and nomination from April 5, 2006, PEL is also designated as the National laboratory for electromagnetic measurements in Croatia. Laboratory is known with its contribution in absolute determination of the SI unit of volt in the 1980-th, whose measurement results have been included in the CODATA adjustments of the fundamental constants, participating in the correction of volt for 8 parts in 106 since January 1, 1990. Today PEL has available Josephson array voltage standard (for dc voltages up to 10 V) which has been bilaterally compared with the PTB standards in April 2007. There is also a whole row of resistance, capacitance and inductance standards, composed in the chain of traceability with the originally PEL-developed methods and procedures of calibration.
