Sažetak
The aim of this paper is defining stylometry and describing main methods used by stylometrists in resolving the problem of author anonymity. The inductive method is used to define stylometry, its development, history, methods and implications of its future development and application. Identifying author from a text, as the main task of stylometry, is presented on the basis of several key methods developed in the last fifteen years, including mathematical and statistical methods, as well as modern artificial intelligence systems. Besides identifying the authorship of a text as stylometry’ s main task, the method of intentional anonymization of a text for the protection of author’ s privacy and security is also described. It is equally interesting to look at stylometry from the point of view of diplomacy, political and economic espionage, security, public relations and academic communities.
