Sažetak
The airborne remote sensing system started to be developed in spring 1998 at the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering, University of Zagreb. The system is aimed at the support of the postgraduate study at this Faculty and at the airborne acquisition of data of the urban traffic dynamic characteristics, for the data acquisition at the bottle-neck phenomenon in road traffic, for determining the status of the vegetation and objects on the mine polluted areas. The development of the sensor gimbals is under way; first tests are expected in autumn 1999. In the meantime, the system resolution, missions planning and survey procedures and the suitability of several remote sensing software for the interpretation of television and thermal imagery are being analysed. Several test flights have been done. The achieved progress of development, the experience gained through test flights and future development are discussed.
