Sažetak
Mathematics education is often lacking interesting real-life examples, and that is the most common reason why mathematics is one of the most unpopular sciences. If some real applications are given in a mathematics course, it happens mostly through connections to physics, and in some extent with economy. Although applications of mathematics in many other elds are numerous to say the least, they are quite seldomly mentioned in a mathematics course, and even then only as random examples, disregarding the wider context. The purpose if this poster is to give an overwiev of various examples of applications in chemistry, suitable for a systematic use in mathematics education, and to some extent also for popular public presentations.
